The Day of the Dead, better known as Día de los Muertos, is the holiday that focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed away. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it attains the quality of a National Holiday. Decorated skulls are a recurring motif associated with the Day of the Dead.
